Six out of 10 people with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia will wander – it’s not a matter of if, but when. That risk increases with the summer heat, as people may become uncomfortable staying indoors.

Alzheimer’s San Diego President Shelita Weinfield appeared on KUSI’s Good Morning San Diego to explain why those with dementia may wander, and to share practical tips to reduce the risk of wandering.
