Join Alzheimer’s San Diego at this upcoming community event. It is free and open to the public.

Hosted by the County of San Diego’s Aging & Independence Services, Vital Aging 2019 will focus on a variety of topics that will empower older adults to live healthy, safe and thriving lives.

You’ll hear the latest information on brain health, caregiver well-being, nutrition and physical activity. The event also features interactive speakers who will inspire you to make healthy lifestyle changes.

The day includes a keynote program highlighted by nationally acclaimed speaker Marilu Henner. Henner is a New York Times best-selling author, actress, producer and long-time advocate of healthier living.

Please note that the keynote speaker will be at the San Diego Convention Center venue and their presentation will be webcast live to the California Center for the Arts in Escondido.

San Diego Convention Center
The program includes the live in-person keynote speech, as well as workshops concerning brain health, caregiver well-being, fitness and aging in the community with new transportation and housing options, among other topics. The keynote speech will take place inside Hall B of the convention center, while the other event activities will be held on the second floor mezzanine level. Lunch will be provided.

North County Event Location
California Center for the Arts, Escondido

There will be a simultaneous Vital Aging satellite site at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido for those residents who live in our North County regions. The keynote speech will be webcast live on a large screen from the main site at the San Diego Convention Center. In addition, there will be in-person speakers and information tables addressing brain health, caregiver well-being, fitness and more. Lunch will be provided.
