With DNA tests like 23andMe claiming to identify genetic risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease, those with a family history may be feeling unnecessary fear. This July, Alzheimer’s San Diego is bringing together two leading neurological experts to explain what those “risk factors” really mean.

Dr. William Mobley, Chair of the Department of Neurosciences at UCSD, and Dr. Michael Lobatz, medical director of the Rehabilitation Center at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, will set the record straight at a free workshop – “Is Alzheimer’s in my genes? Separating fact from fiction” – on July 13 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. The workshop will be held at the SDGE Energy Innovation Center at 4760 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92117.

Space is limited; register to save your spot at http://bit.ly/2trvRAb, or by calling Alzheimer’s San Diego at 858-492-4400.

We hope to see you there!
