How Companion Pets Help

Companion Pets are an ideal resource for the daily life of someone living with memory loss. They are interactive animals that can bring comfort, fun and companionship to seniors. Our team at Alzheimer’s San Diego has provided many of these pets to those in our community, and caregivers say the animals are a great source of happiness for the people with dementia.

What are the Options?

We offer Companion Pet Cats and Pups, with multiple colors of the Cats you can view here. Check out the descriptions of each to see which can be of more benefit for you or a loved one. Descriptions are from the Joy for All website.

• Pups: When they’re not napping, real puppies require a lot of care and attention.
