Meet the Walk4ALZ 2025 Pet Mascot, Turbo!

It was a tight race this year to determine who would lead Walk4ALZ 2025 and grace the cover of this year’s postcard. Not only did hundreds of San Diegans vote, people all over the world weighed in on this local San Diego contest. Although the competition was fiercely cute this year, Turbo pulled ahead and was crowned the 2025 Walk4ALZ Pet Mascot!

Turbo’s Life

Turbo came into his owner Juan’s life at just the right time. Juan had recently lost his dog Chance and was missing a four-legged companion. Juan is a long distance Masters runner (a coveted title given to athletes with incredible stamina and determination) and he knew that he “needed a hyper active and intelligent four-pawed family member to do some running on [the] easy days.” When Turbo sprinted into his life, Juan’s family found the furry friend they were searching for.

Juan was anxious to find out about his personality before choosing a name for his new family member. After learning that he was an energetic and fast learning puppy, “Turbo” seemed like the perfect name to keep up with his spirited personality.

Like his owner Juan, Turbo loves the outdoors. Turbo especially enjoys hiking, running, and swimming. With so many trails and beaches in San Diego County, Turbo always has a new area to explore. Although he is shy when meeting new people for the first time, Juan says that Turbo has a big heart.
