Walk4ALZ Recap

In the early morning on a beautiful October Saturday in Balboa Park, over 1,000 people gathered to remember loved ones, support their community, and raise funds so that families impacted by dementia have access to critical free resources now and in the future. Alzheimer’s San Diego’s CEO Eugenia Welch and Former FOX5 Anchor Kathleen Bade kicked off the event by thanking everyone for participating and presenting awards to the top fundraising teams. This year’s Walk4ALZ 2025 Mascot, Turbo, then led Walkers to the start line and the Walk began! Walkers marched through Balboa Park as volunteers and family members cheered throughout the course. As walkers finished the route and crossed the finish line, their triumphant smiles shone brightly in the morning sun.

Because of the incredible people in our community, we were able to raise over $390,000 and counting– the Walk4ALZ website will still be taking donations until December 1st, 2025. To everyone who donated, walked, volunteered, and fundraised, thank you. 100% of money raised will stay local to serve our beloved San Diego community.
